In Our Community
We believe our team is bigger than ARGO—and we have a responsibility to support our surrounding communities. Our team engages in events sponsored by STEM/Education, Richardson Chamber of Commerce, the Texas Workforce Commission, and multiple charity organizations.
Richardson Mayor’s Summer Internship Program
We’re pleased to participate in this fantastic opportunity for local students. Internships, rivaling those provided to college-age students, provide an invaluable opportunity to experience a professional workplace. Our intern, a Lake Highlands High School senior, worked at ARGO in the HR department where she learned all about recruiting, networking and even technical writing, a field she is now may pursue in college. We’re proud of these teens and excited to continue our partnership this year!
Richardson Chamber of Commerce (RCC) and Texas Workforce Commission (TWC)
ARGO employees volunteer with local organization committees to ensure our community is a great place to live and work. We partnered with RCC and TWC, and received the first IT Consortium Training Grant for the City of Richardson. Employees received more than 6,500 professional development hours.
UTD Software Engineering Project
Through our partnership, we provide students with real-life, hands-on experience in software engineering, enabling us to gain insight into their project results, build relationships, and communicate career opportunities.
We give back to our community and our employees by donating time and money to events that benefit both. Each year, ARGO employees partner with a local charity.
Network of Community Ministries
ARGO’s partnership with Network of Community Ministries offers several ways employees can get involved to support this charity and its goal of helping individuals achieve self-sufficiency by giving short-term assistance. This partnership will give ARGO employees many leadership opportunities, as well as volunteer opportunities in program areas that best match their skills, personality, and passions.
Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County
In 2018, we supported the Collin County Advocacy Center helping to provide safety, healing, and justice for children victimized by abuse or neglect.
Employees provided needed items by participating in:
Color the Rainbow – Clothing drive
Stuff The Bus – Back to school back pack and supplies
Double the Bubbles – Toiletry drive
